Well when I say an amazing year for Fine Art Wedding Photography in Hampshire, I actually mean in Hampshire, Switzerland, Dorset, Avon, Kent, Sussex, London and much much more! I had the pleasure of starting my 2013 Fine Art Wedding Photography in Switzerland half way up a mountain in the cutest little chapel ever, surrounded by about a foot of snow (it felt like 5 foot!) that came down over night and ended up the year with a Fine Art Wedding Photography assignment for Carly & Toby in Hotel Du Vin, Winchester, 10 miles up to the road so to say I travelled a little in 2013 would be an understatement and 2014 looks to be much of the same, excellent!
I’m not going to bore you with hundreds of images from the year but I do want to share my favourite 13 – some Fine Art Wedding Photography, some babies, some lifestyle and of course some boudoir!
I really am lucky with the amazing clients I’ve had over the last 12 months, Fine Art Wedding Photography is a little bit of a fluffy title for what I do but it basically means I’ve had amazing people to work with who will completely give me free rein to do what I like in the name of art! Even if it means standing in the cold for minutes whilst we wait for a cloud to pass and I can’t thank you all enough for letting me do what I love best!
2013 also saw me getting through to the Regional Finals of The 2013 Wedding Industry Awards, Awards that at Regional Stage are voted for BY MY COUPLES so it’s not a popularity contest (just as well really!) but solely based on what the people I’ve worked with think about the service they received and I’m even happier to announce that my average scores never dipped below 9.6 and to share just one of the comments left “Helen is an amazing photographer, listened and executed the brief, has a huge personality and command over crowd, funny and very professional and well received by all family and guests. Helen always goes and continues to go above and beyond the duty. We will use her again & again.”
Another really great bit of news from 2013 was being featured in Mrs P and P’s fantastic blog. Alison is a prolific wedding blogger and a great site to follow so I was really excited when she asked to share some of my retro styled pre wedding photo shoot images from Katie & Gareth’s (both professional wedding photographers themselves!) Engagement Shoot, my favourite image from their shoot is included in the 13 below…
On a more personal note, in 2013 I took one of the best decisions I have ever made and chose a little puppy called Mash to come and live with me! He’s a miniature chocolate daschund and very very naughty but without a doubt the coolest dog in the world! He loves to meet my couples when they come around and show them how naughty he can be! He’s not doing so well in the flooding we’re experiencing at the moment and is sick and tired of having a wet tummy every time we go out for a walk! A big thanks to Andy Read for having the patience to take our photo!
Finally, before I share my favourite 13 images from 2013, what’s happening in 2014?
I have some awesome Fine Art Wedding Photography assignments for the year, ranging from a private Manor house in Devon through to a villa in Sorrento, some awesome local venues, Chilworth Manor, Elmers Court Hotel, The Montagu Arms and a field in the New Forest to mention just a few! If you want to see your own wedding here then contact me on 07866 440740, 01794 516821 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss what you’re looking for.
Or you can come and meet me on February 1st & 2nd at the BIC Centre in Bournemouth, February 16th at the gorgeous White Horse Hotel in Romsey, February 23rd at the brilliant Do Tell The Bride event at Winchester Holiday Inn, the fabulous Stylish Events Wedding Fair on the 9th March at the Winchester Guild Hall or the brilliant PMN Wedding Fayre at The Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton.
All that remains to be said is I look forward to seeing old faces and meeting some new faces in 2014 and wish you all the very best for a happy year! I hope you enjoy my favourite images, please leave your comments below and feel free to share with your friends (please do not crop out watermarks – they’re there for a reason ;))
