Beautiful Wedding Photography in Winchester & the rest of the world… A look back on 2014
I’ve had the very big pleasure to have photographed some fantastic brides and grooms this year in some amazing locations, wedding photography in Sorento to Devon, Winchester to Newcastle, New Forest Wedding Photography to Swanage, I’ve certainly covered some miles this year!
I thought it might be quite a nice way to look back at 2014 today before the New Year comes so in no particular order, here are a few of my favourite images from 2014…
We started off the year at the gorgeous Rhinefield House Hotel set in the heart of the New Forest with Tristan & Rebecca, a fabulous day…
A million miles away (well not quite a million miles away!) I’ve also been to Sorrento this year with my good friend Sam for Sadie & Joel’s wedding, we had an amazing day in brilliant sunshine with lots of laughs and a rather HUGE glass of beer to end the night!
From a wedding in Sorrento to a Wedding near Newcastle with a fantastic themed idea of a p*ss up in a brewery – Dan & Heather definitely have a sense of humour and both them and all their family & friends clearly enjoyed the real ales at HighHouse Brewery
Weather is always one of the things brides worry most about but Julia & Lee had nothing to worry about for their May wedding at Moorhill House Hotel in the New Forest – check out the bridesmaids’ shoes – LOVE them!
Not so lucky with the weather Alex & Hannah still had a fabulous Wedding day at Winchester Guild Hall, with lots of beautiful details the rain wasn’t going to dampen their Wedding Day Photography at Winchester Guildhall!
Dan & Chris’s wonderful fairytale Wedding at Green House Hotel in Bournemouth was my first ever same sex wedding. Two amazing chaps with so much love for each other, their family & friends was a very special day indeed
From Bournemouth Weddings to Devon and a stunning location for a wedding – Pickwell Manor Hall in Devon Wedding Photography with Mike & Katherine who I met through my underwater photography! A great couple + stunning venue = no damp spirits when the rain came down!
Staying with the beach theme, Charlene & Paul decorated Elmers Court Hotel in the New Forest in their own beach theme! As one of Elmers Court Preferred Wedding photographers I love photographing weddings at this venue and it was really nice to see the venue look so different and with such laid back bride and groom it was a perfect day!
A new venue for me this year was Lulworth Castle Wedding Photography – a dream day with Claire & Mikey working with my good friend Sam. LOVE Lulworth Castle Wedding Photography!
From Lulworth Castle Wedding Photography to Marwell Hotel Wedding Photography a fantastic day full of colour & lots of laughs with Emma & Steve, I still giggle looking back at Steve’s enthusiasm 😉 and loved the raspberry and lime details.
And from a woodland wonderland to a beach dream – the fabulous wedding of Rick and Rachel at Durleston Castle Wedding Photography which included my favourite kind of guest – a fabulous black labrador Widget who was the proud ring bearer of their wedding day
Martine & Tom’s Handfast in the New Forest was another first for me this year, their humanist ceremony in front of family & friends was a very relaxed and bicycle filled day topped off with a wonderful bicycle made for two!
And from Bicycles to BLING! Jana had the most sparely shoes I have ever seen which completely fit with her beautifully sparkly personality, her kindness and sweet nature shone through the whole of her special day with Taz at Parley manor Wedding Photography
Another of my favourite venues this year was Winchester College Wedding Photography where Jo & Luke got married, perhaps I’m biassed because Cooke the dog had a starring role or maybe because their Padre was the nicest and most accommodating minister I have ever had the pleasure to work with or maybe just because Jo and Luke’s Winchester College Military Wedding Photography was perfect from start to finish?!
From a stunning military Wedding at Winchester College to a fantastically relaxed same sex wedding at New Place Hotel with Tash and Amy, two wonderful ladies who really are the loveliest of people! Their day was a mix of huge emotion with the first look meeting between the girls through to fun and hilarity with them and their guests, great fun and New Place is a great venue for stunning Wedding Photography
I love Chilworth Manor Hotel Wedding Photography, it’s about 10 minutes from my house which is always a bonus at the end of a long day of wedding photography but more importantly it’s a fantastic venue for stunning contemporary wedding photography and the staff are absolutely brilliant! Frankie and Sarah’s big day was no exception and lots of fun was had by all!
Another visit to Elmers Court for me but this time with Ashlea and Dom, a fab couple who are warm and friendly with amazing family & friends (some rather talented too!) We were blessed with incredible weather and the timings of their day meant we could take full advantage of the summer evening light.
More dogs now, the fantastically behaved (except when I kept calling him!) Sam was guest of honour at Cat & James’ beautiful day at Wyck Hill House in the Costwolds, a stunning manor house and village church which meant a lot to all of Cat’s family worked together to make Cat and James’ Wedding Photography very special
Last but not least was another favourite day of mine – Penny & Lynn’s Wedding Day at Gordleton Mill – I first met Penny about 5 years ago when she came on a couple of my Landscape Photography workshops and we immediately hit it off so I was delighted when she told me they were going to tie the knot!
It’s been an amazing year for Helen Rushton Photography with fantastic brides and grooms and some stunning venues, I can’t wait to kick off 2015 and create stunning fine art imagery for my new couples. I still have a few dates left available for 2015 so if you’d like memories that will live on forever from your wedding day please contact me (Helen) on 07866 440740 to chat through your requirments
