If someone asked you what the most UN-photogenic animal was what would you say? I think it would be a giraffe so imagine my surprise when I met the lovely Heidi-Marie and she told me not only was she getting married to Ian at Marwell Hall, the grade 1 listed building at Marwell Zoo but that they had an animal feed with the giraffes as part of their wedding package! Not one to run from a challenge I was delighted when they chose me to be their Contemporary Wedding photographer at Marwell Hall.
Heidi-Marie is such an inspiration, not only has she been to probably more wedding fairs as I have in her pursuit of the perfect day but also for the incredible weight loss she’s achieved on the run up to her big day, I cannot convey how pleased I am for you Heidi-Marie, you looked absolutely stunning! I’ll hopefully join you on Thursday ;o)
Their day was a cacophony of Cadburys’ Purple with gorgeous detailing on Heidi-Marie’s dress, fab shoes and flowers and all the little details of their day in shades of the gorgeous purple colour, it even made it onto Ian’s pride and joy his restored yellow Triumph and of course their 2 little lads’ waistcoats and tails! After a lovely ceremony inside Marwell Hall, we were driven off to feed the giraffes, how much fun?! And I have to share, apparently giraffe’s tongues are the blue / black colour they are to help them avoid sunburn!!
A fabulous day in the amazing Marwell Hall, Marwell Zoo and a few of my favourite photos from their day to tide you over until their gallery goes live on the 6th August… Please feel free to share your comments below on your favourite image…
