Hyde Barn Wedding Photography with Sophie & Max – what a couple! What a location! What fun!

I have tried to write this blog a number of times and for some strange reason am finding it really hard – I’m not sure why because it has to be one of the most special days I have ever photographed! When I first met Sophie and Max I loved their outlook on life and when Max mentioned he loved music and indeed played traditional irish music on his fiddle which may feature on their big day I was smitten! Fortunately they decided to choose me as their wedding photographer and the fun and laughter has abounded since!

Sophie & Max really wanted natural and relaxed Hyde Barn Wedding Photography and were slightly nervous, Sophie in particular, when we headed out for their engagement shoot a couple of months ago. After a while their confidence seemed to grow and looking at the images I’ve captured of their special day I can’t see any hint of nerves at all, in fact how amazing does Sophie look – obviously went into supermodel mode!

All Sophie & Max’s friends and family were a joy to be around, lots of fun and laughter which was infectious and there was no way I was going anywhere until Max’s fiddle made an appearance and what an appearance! Fantastic music under a gorgeous tree as the sun faded on the day – a memory I shall never forget so a HUGE thank you to all the players from me!

Here are a few of my favourites from their day, let me know which one is yours in the comments below!

  1. Hi Helen, this is Max’s mum (and now Sophie’s mother-in-law) in Ireland. Just browsed your fabulous photos. Anthony and I are absoloutely delighted with the contempory feel. What a handsome couple Max and Sophie make. Hard to choose a favourite. Actually, impossible.

Can’t wait to see the rest.

    Thanks again,
