Now if ever there was a little lady who didn’t want to miss a thing it’s Esme – she wanted to be awake for her Newborn Baby Photography session but with a little patience and lots and lots of mummy & daddy cuddles we finally got the better of her!
Mummy & Daddy are big fans of the great outdoors so rather than going with traditional pinks we brought the outside in with rich greens, cosy browns and squishy greys, that way mummy and daddy didn’t have to redecorate their Lounge as they knew they wanted a feature frame to make baby Esme’s first few days in this world.
Newborn baby photography is so special, it’s probably one of the last things you’ll be thinking about when you’ve just given birth so book before your due, add me to your list of “people to text when baby arrives” and I’ll make sure I have enough flexibility in the calendar to ensure we can fit you in within the first ten days.
I’m very much of the opinion that cute, naked bums and squishy photos of baby are gorgeous but won’t, I’m afraid, put baby at risk for some of the really popular images you see today – what’s the point? I want you to look at your photos and remember when baby was so teeny tiny with affection and not being propped up by lots of adult hands and photoshopped together afterwards, where’s the love in that?!
Mum was kind enough to write to me after Esme’s photo session with some lovely words –
“The photos Helen took of our newborn baby girl Esme were absolutely stunning and captured the wonderful memories of those first few days perfectly.
Before the shoot I was a little worried about whether our little girl would be relaxed and comfortable. Helen was wonderful with her making me feel so at ease and I could tell Esme was relaxed too. The whole shoot was an incredibly enjoyable experience full of fun and laughter. Helen is an amazing photographer and was so wonderful with both us and our baby. When it came to choose the images it was just so hard as they were all so beautiful. The photos we chose are proudly hanging in our lounge and we will treasure them and the memory forever.
