I’m so excited to share this story with you – I met Penny a number of years ago when she joined one of my Landscape Photography workshops and was lucky enough to have Penny come back to me a number of times on various courses in various locations so a firm friendship was formed! On one of these workshops, Penny invited me back to her place in Milford on Sea after a dawn shoot for some much needed breakfast where I was lucky enough to meet Lynn for the first time!
I never thought that they would actually go ahead and tie the knot, after 25 years together it was only the (much needed) change in law that prompted them to do it and fantastically for me they wanted me to take their Gordleton Mill Wedding Photography, what an honour!
When the day dawned it was a rather wet affair to say the least, but of course in true Rushton style, the sun came out when it needed to and we were rewarded with the most amazing day both in terms of weather and in terms of wonderful friends and family that shared Penny & Lynn’s special day at Gordleton Mill Wedding Photography.
Everything was perfect, from fantastic Registrars through to Liz’s amazing staff at Gordleton Mill – and the food – oh my goodness what a treat I had, yum yum yum! But the best treat was yet to come… Carol’s Best lady speech! Now this lady is a natural performer, a lovely person and she’d let me into a little secret… Before the wedding she had contacted very single one of Penny & Lynn’s guests and asked them to make a short video dancing and singing along to The Proclaimers’ 500 miles and had knitted together all of the footage, in secret to show Penny & Lynn on their special day – to say their reaction was priceless is an understatement! It just goes to show what amazing family & friends Penny & Lynn have who all helped make their Gordleton Mill Wedding Photography a very, VERY special day for Penny & Lynn & for me!
Here are a few of my favourite images from their day…
