The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hip hooray! And didn’t it just for Vickie and Mickey’s pre wedding shoot yesterday in and around Bucklers Hard in the heart of the New Forest… When Mickey told me he proposed to Vickie on the walk from Beaulieu to Bucklers Hard I imagined romance and flowers but after spending the afternoon with Vickie and Mickey I suspect there was a healthy dose of tom foolery and mucking about thrown in too! Vikie and Mickey are great fun to be around and the sort of people that I suspect would jump in puddles to splash each other only there were no puddles yesterday – a welcome relief!
The first part of the pre wedding shoot is an opportunity for me to sit down with my bride and groom and run through all the details of their wedding day, what they want their photographs to reflect and making sure we have enough time to do everything and yesterday was no different from this apart from the fact that I had forgotten suggesting to Vickie that she get her beloved horse Belle to pop along to Elmers Court for us to take a couple of photographs with them together – why is this an issue I hear you ask? Because I am petrified of horses! Yes I know, living close to the New Forest and having this kind of phobia is a little odd but hey I can’t help it! Having said that we have some great ideas for their Wedding Day Photographs at Elmers Court and I for one can’t wait for September to swing around!
Here are a couple of my favourite images from yesterday
